Sun has been officially launched JavaFX 1.0, a development of Rich Internet Application (RIA) Java-based framework. Moonlight First release, an open source implementation of the Microsoft Silverlight framework. Moonlight 1.0 is a step forward to bring the compatibility of Silverlight to desktop Linux where Moonlight development started last year after Microsoft demonstrated Silverlight at MIX 2007 event.
Mono developers, in Miguel Icaza and his team have been working to produce prototype Moonlight after holding a hackathon for 20 days and enthusiastic participants are enthusiastic i to create thousands lines of Moonlight codes. When officially released Silverlight in the month of September, Microsoft plans to collaborate with Novell Silverlight developers to ensure full support on Linux platforms.
Moonlight 1.0 is implemented in C++ languages and distributed as a Firefox plug-in. Moonlight brings JavaScript interpreter in Firefox to support scripting Silverlight 1.0.
